Mac Lloyd returns with his latest project Melancholic Soul Club EP, which is his most honest, thought-provoking and heartfelt work to date. Due to the personal nature of the project, The King Of Melancholic Soul decided to do it all alone - from the mix and mastering, to the production and vocals. This gives the EP a real feel of authenticity as Mac Lloyd continues to experiment with his sound and cross the borders of soul and alternative indie music.

The EP starts with his first single from the project “To The Brim” which explores a range of topical issues surrounding mental health that have plagued Mac Lloyds’ past and current personal life. “All Too Well” serves as a reflection of the tough reality of Mac’s past addictions. “If I Could” & “Mine” reach deeply into a history of toxic relationships, fuelled by insecurity and love induced paranoia. And finally, “Man Of Faith” is about Mac Lloyd losing people close to him and having to watch the aftermath as it unfolds. All-in-all, the multi-talented Bristol-based musician ventures deeply into some of his most haunting life experiences; telling his story vividly and leaving no stone unturned.

Here are some words from Mac Lloyd in relation to his latest release:

“Whilst the two singles To The Brim & If I Could have been chosen for this release, I still feel incredibly strongly about the remaining three tracks, All Too Well, Main Of Faith & Mine as they each also tell unique tales from past situations and perspectives. I hope they mean half as much to you as they do me. Thank you for taking the time to listen to the EP, and all of your support up until this point. Itʼs thanks to fans and listeners like yourselves, why I feel comfortable enough to gift these songs to the world”.
